Coach Smith Fundraiser a Huge Success

The dust finally settled after the melee between Washington and Atlanta. The skirmish occurred shortly after a late hit by LaRon Landry sent Falcons quarterback Matt Ryan flying and tempers flaring between the Atlanta sideline and a few Redskins players, including former-Falcon DeAngelo Hall. The NFL office has decided that fines should be handed out to four individuals. Falcons head coach Mike Smith received the biggest fine of $15,000.

The fan base wanted to defend our team and coach, and began collecting donations into a fund.

The money that was raised from the Coach Smith charity drive is going towards equipment for a playground in Vine City near the stadium. One day this spring, we will take a group of volunteers to the playground to assemble the equipment. Your contribution of money and time will directly benefit the children that live around the home of our Falcons. At over $3500 in these times, it is great to see so many loyal fans reach out to those who need their help.
